AUTHOR’S NOTE: About me, and this site.

“It is written among the limitless constellations of the celestial heavens, and in the depths of the emerald seas, and upon every grain of sand in the vast deserts, that the world which we see is an outward and visible dream of an inward and invisible reality.”

– Opening narration from Richard Williams’s The Thief and the Cobbler, Recobbled Cut.

I have been exposed to many different idea systems and metaphysical memetic symbol-sets over the past few decades. I am not here to try and push any of mine as being the “universal true truth” or to change anyone’s minds. I just want to share my experiences and compare notes with any others who may be interested in doing so.

This is kind of long, and I’ve made an attempt to split things up into different sections to make it less of a chore to process. To those who might be adverse to going back down memory lane with me in an attempt to explain how my current mindset evolved, I am going to try to open with a set of bullet points which sum up my thoughts at the present time:

  • I ascribe to a Gnostic belief system, and often refer to myself as a “PhilKDickian Gnostic.” This means that my interpretation of the Gnostic doctrine largely aligns with Gnosticism as explained by author Philip K Dick in his novel VALIS, and in his lengthy Exegesis, e.g. we exist in a three-dimensional simulation (which he called “The Black Iron Prison.”)
  • We are beings of pure energy who are piloting “meat robots” through 3D physical space.
  • The 3D simulation may or may not be policed by entities from “the outside” (aka “Archons,” “Black Iron Jailers”) but enough people seem to have encountered evidence strongly supporting that it is.
  • Human society has likewise structured itself accordingly; there are “gatekeepers” designed to keep things hierarchical and stratified (i.e. “The Man” keeping the “Little People” down) via several systems of control.
  • There are people who have seen beyond the 3D simulation, or claim to have done so; confusion about “the truth” about the nature of “real reality” is rampant. It is the author’s belief that confusion has been sown on purpose, as one of the aforementioned systems of control.
  • Though the physical laws of the 3D simulation seem pretty unbreakable, there are ways of glitching reality enough to perform certain acts in accordance with one’s own will (e.g. “Magick.”)
  • Ultimately we’re all in this together, and our fates are interconnected. No one is free until we are all free, no one is really out until we can all get out, etc.

What led me to all of these conclusions began with my childhood obsession with people from “elsewhere,” which, for the sake of simplicity, I’ve always referred to as “Elves.”
